NSW Premier, Gladys Berejiklian has continued her tour of the state this week with a visit to Gulgong and Mudgee.
Premier Berejiklian – along with Member for Dubbo, Troy Grant – will today turn the first sod at Mudgee Hospital, marking the official start of the construction of the new Mudgee Hospital Project.
The premier spoke about the opportunity to be there for the sod turning along with Troy Grant’s continued support of the project.
“Troy Grant has been a very strong advocate for the hospital and getting to be here for the turn of the first sod is fantastic.” She said.

The $70.2 million redevelopment involves a major upgrade to the existing health service, focusing on the expansion of inpatient and ambulatory care services.
The premier toured the Gulgong’s Holtermann museum with Minister, Troy Grant and Mid-Western Regional Council Mayor, Des Kennedy.
The premier then announced a $10,000 grant to go to the Henry Lawson Centre.
When asked about Gulgong, she had nothing but praise for the town.
“This is a special place in NSW and in Australia. Everyone who lives and works in this town should be proud of its history and where it’s going in the future.” Ms Berejiklian said.
Before arriving in Gulgong, the premier presented a Dubbo local with the NSW Government Community Service Award before turning the first sod on stage four of the ongoing Dubbo Hospital redevelopment.
