

The 15th Wings, Wheels and Wine is set for this Sunday (April 29), hosted by the Mudgee Aero Club with Paul Bennet Airshows.

A variety of impressive aircraft will put on a number of displays in the skies above Mudgee Airport.
Among them Paul Bennet’s Wolf Pitts Pro, which is is the highest performing aerobatic biplane in the world.
Along with plenty of ‘warbirds’, including; the Australian military aircraft the Wirraway; the American T-28 Trojan; and the massive 1942 Grumman Avenger.
For the motor enthusiast there will be a display of all types of interesting vehicles – veteran to vintage and classic.
The machinery on the ground will be brought by; local clubs Cudgegong Cruisers Inc, Mudgee Antique Motor Club Inc, Historic Vehicle Club Gulgong, and Cudgegong Valley Pioneer Vehicle Car Club; alongside the Jaguar Drivers Club Hunter Region; the Falcon GT Car Club Of Newcastle; the SS Owners Club NSW; and more.
For the connoisseurs, a number of the region’s winemakers offering product tasting and sales.

Mudgee Aero Club president Gary Chapman said the biennial event draws strong numbers each outing with organisers always looking for new and different attractions.
“All shows have attracted large crowds with many coming from Sydney and all over NSW,” he said.
“The Wings Wheels and Wine airshow will again be joining forces with Paul Bennet Airshows to bring more new performances to thrill and excite the crowds.
“Of course, for the motor enthusiast there will again be a display of all types of interesting vehicles and, for the wine connoisseurs, local wineries will be participating to give tasting and sales of their fine wines.”
Gates open 9.30am, with the program commencing 10.30am, running until 3pm.
Tickets available at the gate; adults $25; children 0-4 years free; children 5-15 years $10; family pass (two adults and 2 children) $50.
